Calculo Review
This tale of the adventures of Professor William Waterman Sherman is so full
of curious escapades, it's a hilarious read. The story begins where we find
Professor Sherman adrift in the Atlantic ocean, clinging to the debris of
some twenty deflated balloons. He is shortly picked up by S.S. Cunningham,
and the interest of the world is immediately sparked. You see, Professor
Sherman started a journey in a hot air balloon... in the Pacific
ocean. Could he have completely orbited the earth, to crash on the other
side of the United States? |
The world clammors for the tale of Sherman's journey, but he refuses to tell!
Whenever asked, he simply responds by saying he will tell no one until he
can address the Western American Expolorers' Club in San Fransisco, of which
he is an honorary member. He is taken to San Fransisco surrounded by pomp
and circumstance of every kind. The story that unfolds is nothing short
of mesmerizing.
Immediately one of my favorites, this book is so clever and imaginative.
I read it and could hardly keep from laughing out loud. I highly recommend
it for any reader, regardless of age. It's witty, hilarious, inventive, and
spell-binding. It can't get much better than this.
