January 12, 2005: Online Donations Now Accepted!
Thanks to the wonders of PayPal, you can now support the Daily Prophet by donating online using either an existing PayPal account, or with your Visa or Mastercard. Cash donations are still needed to help pay to ship all the wonderful books to we've collected to the soldiers. If you can spare a dollar or more, we'd certainly appreciate it.

January 11, 2005: WWII Veteran Sends Largest Donation to Date!
Mr. Richard M. McCarthy, a World War II veteran from Florida, has donated 220 copies of his book, "The Chance Takers," to the Daily Prophet, to be forwarded on to the soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan!
Eleven boxes of books, totaling a whopping 330 pounds, arrived at our offices today. We've already begun processing the books and will have them shipped out ASAP. Our thanks go out to Mr. McCarthy for his generous and heartfelt donation!

In other news, we'd like to apologize for the lack of updates - our Webmistress, Heather Lawver, has been having some problems with a bad case of mono lately. We assure you, things are still moving along great with the campaign and she's recovering swiftly. Thanks for your support
